Party makeup needn't take all night to get right. Here are two very different, but equally glamorous, looks that require a handful of products.

Cosmo's Online Beauty Editor learned from Sarah-Jane Froom, International Make Up Artist at bareMinerals, how to do these looks in simple steps. For both, prep your face with long-wear foundation, concealer where needed and bronzer – should you wish – and finish with your fave mascara (a party-MUST!).

RED LIPS 'N' LINER FLICKS

1. Illuminate

Dust some illuminator (we used bareMinerals Ready Luminzer) over the highs of your cheeks, the eyelids and your cupids bow using a fluffy brush like the bareMinerals Soft Focus Face Brush.
2. Wing it

Using a soft pencil or gel eyeliner, (we used bareMinerals Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner in Absolute Black), line the upper lash line and create a slight wing from each outer corner of the eye. TOP TIP: use an angled brush to manipulate the line into a smooth flick.
3. Lip mapping

Using a red lip liner (we used bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipliner in Amped), map out your cupids bow and define the corners of your lips to give them structure and grip for your lipstick.
4. Get lippy

Fill in your lips with a matching red lipstick (we used bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Live it Up) and blot with a tissue to avoid transfer onto your teeth or cocktail glass. Mwah!

To define the shape of your smoky eye, using the same liner, mark dots over the natural crease line from your wings.
3. Blend

Using a precision blending brush, join the dots together and blend into a smooth line connecting it to the lower lash lines at the inner and outer corners.
4. Go low

Using the same liner, line the lower lashes below and inside the waterline. Use the blender on the end of the pencil to soften and smooth the lines.
5. The bronze age

Using a fluffy eye shadow brush 'press' some bronze eye shadow (we used bareMinerals Eyecolour in Camp) across the centre of your eyelid in a gentle patting motion, dust any remaining eye colour on your brush right up to the brows.
6. Gloss over it

Buff some foundation over your lips to take out the colour, and then apply a peachy/pink lipgloss (we used Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Show Off) for a suitable sheen. Go party!
